David Warren is a Canadian photographer living everywhere. At the moment…back in Toronto, Canada.

When did you begin to gain an interest in photography?

My interest began back in 2000 when my Dad gave me his old Konica T reflex and a few rolls of cheap color film. Since then I’ve been cursed to take photos.

Can you give some insight about your work as a photographer in Thailand?

I was in Thailand twice and only for a short time. I got there knowing almost nothing of the culture and decided to shoot with that ignorant state of mind. I was really just admiring the beauty of the country and the people. 

what kind of equipment do you use?

For the most part I use a Nikon FE and and Olympus MJU2. Depending on where I’m going or what I’ll be doing I’ll use one or the other. I also use really cheap tripods on occasion.

When did you create the album “I’m Tripping Over Myself” and what was the motivation behind the artwork?

I started shooting I’m tripping over myself during a very confused time in my life. I was living in China with my wife and daughter and felt very lost. When I say lost I mean I didn’t know which direction my life was going in or why I was still living in China. I was just really confused.

Are you working on anything current that we can look forward to seeing on the web?

Yes. I’m working on a personal project about returning to Toronto from China. It will ready in a few months….I hope.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

Yes. It’s not about what kind of camera you use it’s about the photos. Too many people have that backwards.

ora concept is a study on the field of haute horlogerie. it focuses on the display of time via an unconventional mode, by replacing the expected dial arrangement found in the vast majority of the mechanical watches with a set of three interwoven tapes – one to indicate the hour(s), one to indicate the minute(s), and one to indicate the day.

the arrangement of the indications derived from the aspiration to demonstrate in a bold and dramatic way the passage of time. the design of the case reflects an “inside-out” design approach as it was the mechanism’s arrangement that prescribed the overall form in an attempt to enhance its uniqueness and create a distinctive silhouette.

Publisher giant Hearst released more details for the Skiff Reader, its self-produced e-book device. The new model is one of the largest e-book readers ever at 11.5 inches and provides a 1200×1600 touchscreen display better suited to magazines and newspapers. Its use of e-paper is equally new: rather than glass, it uses an LG-made flexible steel foil that resists shattering. The reader doesn’t have a release date or pricing, but unlike the Kindle it will be available in Sprint’s retail shops when it releases sometime later this year.
