I’m always on the lookout for new brands to embrace, so when I found Comune, I was very impressed and happy to discover them.  There overall motto is simple, and the collection pictured above is from their Spring collection of this year titled “something better change”.  I’ll let the brands ideas and inspirations speak for themselves:

COMUNE was formed from the idea that there will always be people out there who not only embrace the rawness and imperfections of everyday life but use it to creatively push the boundaries of what’s possible in skateboarding, fashion, art and music their own way, with complete disregard of the consequences.

Our goal is to provide clothing that reflects this lifestyle of carefree idealism and to support the people that choose to live it.

A brand that recently made quite a buzz in both fashion weeks in New York, Alexander Wang, has his men’s collection previewed above.  Being noted as one of the the next big and budding designers, he recently made splashes for his women’s collection, but here displays his versatility as he presents these simple but well made pieces for men.

By far the most comfortable dress shoes around are hands down, Cole Haan.  Cole Haan presents their latest round-up of shoes with photography inspired by, and made possible in collaboration with the Selby.  The shoot features influential people and consists of new models of shoes that recently came out, as well as ones slated for a spring release.

Calling all true denim heads and denim aficionados.  There’s a new home for all your denim yapping.  The Denim Debate is a collection of bloggers,store owners and stylish associates, who have come together to discuss everything from fade, fit, or alteration on those jeans you absolutely adore.  More info below: 

A long and diverse list of denim lines are represented on the site including The Flat Head, Studio D’Artisan, Kicking Mule Workshop, Levi’s Vintage, Rising Sun, 3Sixteen, APC, Nom de Guerre, Self Edge and much much more.

Each contributor documents the progress of their denim with regularly updated posts that will uncover methods of the wear process, the various fits for body types, color fade and several other elements that attribute to denim’s character.

This project is encouraged to be interactive with the readers which will enable them to comment on preferences and share their own denim experiences. All parties gain to learn something through this effort.

So bookmark the Denim Debate, and check out this impressive roster of enthusiasts, converts and overall passionate students of denim. I’m a proud participant of this project, and I’m sure you’ll recognize some other faces as well.
