Jeremie Rozan of Surface to Air
Man this guy’s style and approach is one to envy. Jeremie Rozan is co-founder of Surface to Air, and creative director at the Surface to Air studio in Paris. Surface to Air (S2A) is a collective operating in two entities; they produce their own clothing collection, and their own artwork.

The Surface to Air group started in Paris in 2000 and has since evolved into an internationally recognized identity, synonymous with excellence across all disciplines of fashion, art direction, and film. Today, each archetype develops its own activity within the vision and aesthetic of Surface to Air. Through the implementation of this approach, founder and CEO Jeremie Rozan has created a company able to adapt freely to the consistently changing trends specific to each creative field. From award winning music videos; Justice, Kid Cudi & Chromeo, to Art Direction; Louis Vuitton, Uniqlo & Diesel, Surface to Air is truly the black rainbow of the creative spectrum. -Surface to Air
What I really want to show you are two of my favorite videos from Jeremie; the Cudi video for Mr. Rager and From Dusk Till Dawn featuring Daisy Love. These are two completely different videos but each so clean and moving in their own way. Let’s start with From Dusk Till Dawn.
Fairly simple in it’s complexity but how do you look away from that? It’s hard for me to find another word besides, clean. It’s clean visually, in the vibrancy of color as well as it’s transitions. Without over-analyzing it, it’s just clean. Now this Cudi video is beastly, easily one of the best from 2011.
This video is an excellent illustration of the fact that there is nothing/no one to fear. The only thing that can truly stop/kill us from reaching our full potential, is ourselves.
Jeremie’s got alot of other work up on the Surface to Air Studio, including an ad for Louis Vuitton featuring Pharrell. His art direction is really on point with the band Justice as well. Be sure to also take a look at the S2A Blog, and S2A Store. Thanks for reading!
