People who’ve seen me about to fly off a cliff say I look perfectly calm. -Espen Fadness
“People who’ve seen me about to fly off a cliff say I look perfectly calm. It’s the complete opposite. I’m terrified. I’ve just developed techniques and methods to cope with the fear.” -Espen Fadness (World’s Fastest Flying Human Being 2010)
I plan to skydive on my birthday, but there is no way in hell I’d ever do this! It’s all apples and oranges though because at the center of them both is a feeling that cannot be duplicated with anything impure; Liberation. I wanted to post this film entitled Sense of Flying, today because the weekend to most, are the most liberating days of their week/life. But also because this film shows a number of things that went into Espen’s time of freedom. Before it all, they assure us that there was a process. From a collective standpoint as they climb the mountain as a team; to the 30 second mark where amongst the crowded setting with all eyes on him, he stands alone- face to face with himself. I found great #Insight in this film, plus it’s just dope to look at so whatever your pleasure for the weekend, enjoy the liberation!
