A personal favorite of mine, J.Crew, unveils what shall be seen in their collection for the Fall of 2011.  It’s pretty standard staples, and things that aren’t overly out of the ordinary in any sense, however J.Crew has the certain styling necessary to pull off often boring and mundane pieces, which then are combined with impeccable layering, and turn them into items of great desire when seen in catalog or online.  Take a look and decide for yourself.

Once again, The Hundreds presents their collection of footwear for this upcoming season with a strong punch.  Sticking with the models you know and love, The Hundreds stay true to their roots, but mixes it up with some varying colorways and materials.  Just to name a few; the Jackson Low comes with a sharp suede leather upper, and the Johnson Low features perforated suede leather with a matching pin stripe around the mid-soles.  Check it out.

The brand that was once streetwear, then turned into making high-quality apparel, 3Sixteen presents their collection for this year’s fall/winter.  They have become synonymous for their high quality denim, shirting, and ties.  But this season, they introduce some other classic pieces such as a boiled wool vest as well as melton wool overshirts.

The streetwear moguls 10 Deep drop their second launch of fall 2010.  The collection looks to the ever present flannels always constant in their fall collections to carry it along.  As well as their strong collection of jackets and usually a puffer vest included with the collection also.  For the most part, if you’ve seen 10 Deeps fall collections in the past years and liked it, the same will stay true for this one.

Always a unique and pioneering young brand, Opening Ceremony once again puts out a shoe collection to stand out and turn heads.  With 4 different silhouettes to choose from, they feature all different kinds of materials for the fall.  The fabrics consist of speckled wool, mirrored leather, and bordeaux ponyhair; and along with the fabrics, the shoes look like a very solid collection also.

While some may refer and simply think of Swedish brand H & M as just a cheap, go-to brand for a quick fix of clothing; it’s really much more than what people may think.  Just to prove a point, check out their latest video lookbook of their Fall/Winter collection, that includes much more than just simple pieces that go with trends, and fall in and out of cycle within months.

The ever-consistent footwear and accesories brand Common Projects hits the nail on the head once again with their presentation for the 2010 Fall debut.  Surprisingly, as of now only low top men’s hard bottoms are shown, but hopefully we will get some boots as the months near colder weather.  Also, alongside the shoe collection are some bags and wallets consistent with their great attention to detail and use of high-quality materials.

While some may be getting increasingly sick of not being able to leave the house without seeing boat shoes, like it or not, they’ve become a staple/trend in men’s closets everywhere and don’t look like they’re going anywhere anytime soon.  The only problems with trends is when brands aren’t innovative enough to try new ideas or to spruce up the trend that once was strong.  Sebago starts pushing the envelope in a new direction with their “Vintage” Docksides for Fall 2010.  Coming at you in 4 different colorways, Sebago attempts at keeping the trend alive and exciting.

Once, a brand with colored skinny jeans, now a brand with a full lineup of clothes; Washington D.C. based brand DURKL, continues their motto of “High Quality, Low Standards”, as they approach the colder months.  Recreating simple classics, and putting the modern DURKL spin on them, DURKL proves that they’re a brand to watch out for in the years to come.

Will the boat shoe trend stay strong and remain a staple in the men’s wardrobe?  I’m sure Sperry is looking in that direction as well as big boat shoe producers such as Sebago.  And if Sperry keeps putting out these amazing boat shoes such as these 2-Eye boat shoes for the fall, then the trend will more than likely continue.  Coming at you in suede fabric, a slew of colors, and a red brick bottom and a rubber outsole with razor-cut wave-siping grip, these Sperrys are here to make a splash.
