<p>Hajime Sorayama&#8217;s work began back in the 1970&#8242;s, drawing a series of robotic female figures now termed <em>gynoids</em>.  A combination of the word droid which in greek means &#8220;in the image of&#8221; and gyn, greek for &#8220;woman&#8221;.  The driving inspiration of all of this is Sorayma&#8217;s fascination with how light intercts and reflects off of metallic surfaces, and of course&#8230; women.  Either way, nice work</p>
